Human skeletal remains were found today in a wooded area of Cedar Creek Cutoff Road north of Palatka. There is increased law enforcement presence at this time. We ask residents to stay out of the area at this time.
There is no danger to the public. These remains have been in the elements for some time and will have to be sent for DNA analysis. At this time the sheriff's office has no missing persons reported in that area.
