As Director of Corrections, Major Surrency oversees the operations of the Putnam County Jail including inmate well-being, transportation and medical needs.

The Putnam County Jail serves as a detention facility for persons convicted of a crime or awaiting trial. For those serving time, opportunities are available for classes in active parenting, anger management and substance abuse help.
