Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating the shooting death of a 29-year-old Palatka man.
Deputies Wednesday evening responded to reports of gunshots at 154 Lettie Lane in Palatka and found Joseph Rigdon injured. Medical responders took Rigdon by ambulance to a local hospital, where despite life-saving attempts by medical staff, he was pronounced deceased. Rigdon lived near to the location he was found.
Detectives continue to interview neighbors and friends, but at this time no suspect is identified and no weapon was located. An autopsy this morning determined Rigdon died from a gunshot.
