Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody has activated the price gouging hotline as Hurricane Ian approaches.
During a storm-related state of emergency, state law prohibits excessive increases in the price of essential goods such as food, water, hotel rooms, ice, gasoline, lumber, equipment and storm-related services.
Anyone who suspects price gouging can report it to the Attorney General's office by visiting MyFloridaLegal.com or calling (866)966-7226.
